Can not keep Resolutions

So I can't keep my new years resolutions. I would like to think that I am the kind of person to follow through with things, but I just can't seem to do it. Well, being the first of March, I have already failed at all my resolutions. This morning Scott told me that it doesn't mean that I can't start today.....Of course he is right, so here we go. Trying to be better at journaling/blogging in one of them. So I have done some catch up posts. I think I have done about 14 today. So catch up if you would like, and if not, that is fine too!

Here of course is the new years night. We had my sister and her kids here, so the kids had there new years first, then went to bed, and we had our own party. We ate yummy seafood dinner, had remote control car races, and made a SWEET dance video, (equipped with all black costumes and unibrows). By the way, this video has never been watched by anyone but us three....nor will it. Good times!

Mr. Moose

Ever since we saw the moose out skiing at Targhee, Afton became obsessed. She will always look for the moose when we go there, and if she spots him, she must follow him around. Only problem is that he will go on the lifts, and she can't yet. She just keeps asking where the moose went, and tries many different routes to find him. Luckily after she saw him on the hill we ran into him again by the lodge and she got a picture with him. Look how happy she is! I can only imagine what excitement she would have if we went to Disneyland.

Deep Snow

When I ask the kids to go outside and play, this is what it looks like. The snow has piled so high, that it is well up to our windows. This is my bedroom window. The kids are light enough that they don't sink very much, until it is a warm day. Then they are stuck every other step. For me, I always need to have my Gators on. They sure do have fun though.

My Wii boys

My boys LOVE the wii. They love every game really, and if I didn't monitor the time, they would constantly be playing it. They have so much excitement and enthusiasm when they play. It really is adorable to see how competitive they all get. Uncle Mark and Aunt Lindsey came in town, and Uncle Mark joined right in with the boys wii love. I had to capture a few pictures of them playing.

Eating Snow

Every day my little one eats snow! She eats it as she walks to get into the van to go somewhere. She eats it walking into the house. She frequently will walk outside and fill up a cup and eat it throughout the day. She eats the snow that we all track into the house from our shoes. She eats the snow on the side of the hot tub cover while sitting in the hot tub. She eats the snow off her skis as she rides up the magic carpet. She is constantly eating snow. I have tried so hard to get her to stop....but she won't! So I have given up. I say to myself, that at least the air in Driggs is clear and clean, so how sick could she get right?!! These are just a few shots I got of her taking a break from skiing and enjoying a little snow snack.

Valentines Day

We love Valentines day at our house. We did our traditional dinner with heart shaped pizza and red jello. We did sugar cookies with red hots, and I decorated the kids room with heart messages, balloons and little presents. It was a fun and special day. Scott and I were able to go on a date on the weekend, and have our Valentines date too. I think everyone felt loved on that day! Avery got a stuffed animal from a boy in her class..What?!! She said "He is totally in love with me." I just laughed and thought how crazy that there were little romances starting in 2nd grade. I asked her if she liked him back, and she said, " Well, it is kinda nice that he always gives me stuff." So funny!!

Mom and Miss

We went to our first Mom and Miss event. It was so much fun. I can't believe how much Avery has grown-up this last year. She is defiantly my daughter. We get told almost weekly that we look so much alike, and our personalities are so similar. It is almost a curse. We enjoy many of the same activities, and are already beginning to watch the same shows together. She is such a joy in my life, I only hope that in the teenage years our similar personalities will keep us close, and not make us clash!

Cutest snowman!

Ever since we have moved to Driggs, and watched the mass amounts of snow accumulate in our yard, I have wanted the kids to make me a snowman. We always made snowmen in Utah, but the snow here is SOOO unpackable. It is just light and fluffy, and totally dry. Well, I was telling my kids about my disappointment one day, and how I just wished that I had a snowman outside my kitchen window. About three days later the snow was starting to melt, and it became semi-workable. Avery went outside and surprised me with this little snowman outside my kitchen window. It is so cute! She informed me though that it was NOT good snow for making a snowman :)

Mini Avery

Everyone has been saying lately how much Afton and Avery look alike. Really, I look back at pictures of Avery when she was the same age, and they really do look a lot alike. Minus the dimple, and a few more curls, these two are defiantly sisters. Here Afton is wearing Avery's hat. She still loves and adores her big sister so much.

Christmas Carol

#132372874874803 thing that I love about our small town. The play of the Christmas Carol in the little theater. It was so fun, festive, a bit scary at parts for the kids, great acting, and a quaint small town production. Defiantly going again.

The Play

Avery is my little play writer. She wrote, and casted a play about Mr. Freeze, Santa Claus, and Rudolph. They got all dressed up and acted it out for Scott and I. It was so cute. Don't have easy access to the video, but here are the shot we got.

X-country skiing

My sister came into with her kids, and we were able to get out for a few hours and cross-country ski. It was really cold, and late in the day, so when we finished there were ice crystals all over the tips of our hair. It was a lot of fun. I wish she lived here!

Wild Hair

This girl can have some wild hair in the morning, afternoon, or evening. You are pretty much guaranteed crazy in the am, but it can surprise you anytime really. I love it!

Coming Down

It was such a beautiful clear day, we just had to get a shot of the Tetons come down the mountain. They seemed to be covered by clouds a lot in the winter, so I was so happy to see them with a bright blue background.

Magformers

This is a toy I think any child would like. Afton up to Avery love playing with them. They can be pricey, but I defiantly want to get more of them.
