Halloween

I love Halloween. I love the decorations, dressing up, the excitement from the kids to get ALL their candy,... but this year was a bit tricky. My kids have been sick all month! Yep it is true, either one or two, or all four have been sick at one time or the other, and Halloween was no exception. I usually get pictures taken by my Dad of them in their costumes, and even just at the house, but really we were just lucky enough to leave the house and get back with some candy. We are STILL not out of the clear. This month has been a long one. I will post what pictures I have, but just know that belated pictures are sure to come! Scott and I were able to go to a Halloween party and so we quickly threw our outfits together a couple hours before. Beware, we are a little freaky!

Scott dressed up as Aaron Ralston for work. (The guy who was mountaineering in Utah and got stuck between a boulder and had to cut his arm off to live) He made sure he took his leatherman.

We converted Scott's work costume into a member of the Donner Party for the ward party the next night. I was hungry!
Ok, I told you we were a bit freaky! It was so funny the looks we got when we showed up to our friends party dressed like this. We didn't know everyone there, which made it even better. We won party favorite though, so we couldn't have scared too many of them.

Afton

I felt it was time to give an update on my little angel. She is getting so big so fast. She is such a sweet girl and always has a smile to give. She loves to be held, and although she will smile for anyone who talks to her...she will NOT let you hold her. She will give the big smile while her hand instantly grabs hold of my shirt. She wants to make sure I know that she wants to stay with me. She is crawling and has been for some time now, and is taking steps. She can walk a drunken stooper style for about 15 steps then falls. It will be any day now when she takes off running :( She has a great sense of humor and laughs a lot. She loves cheese, and does a little dance anytime you get it out of the fridge for her. She is starting to climb...which scares me. The other day I caught her at the top of the boys bunk bed ladder. She also climbs up on chairs and bookshelves. She is at the stage where she goes through every drawer in the kitchen throwing everything out on the floor. She loves to go outside. She will wiggle and squirm until she manages to make me put her down on the ground. She proceeds to go immediately to the rocks, and put them in her mouth. She also loves balls and her favorite is when you hold her hands and she kicks it. ( I think it is from watching her siblings at soccer). I could go on and on, but all in all she is my very active, very sweet, beautiful baby girl and I am so lucky to be her Mom.

Crew and Afton

Crew and Afton have a special bond. He has the ability to make her laugh like no one can. He absolutely adores her. He loves to take her in his room and play with her, and make her happy. All the kids are so good with her. I recently took Afton with me to Idaho to take my sister to BYUI and when we got home, Afton got so excited to see the kids. She looks for them when she first wakes up in the morning and after each nap, and always wants to be where they are. It makes me melt to see the love they have for each other. (Of course memories like these help me through all the referring I do each day)

So we had family pictures taken a couple of months ago, and I still have not picked which one I like the best. As you can tell from the lack of posts, I have been doing other things....But I need some help. Let me know what one you like. My Dad did a great job with the pictures, but we have not done any editing yet. Thanks again Brook for the location.

Singing Cade

I have a bunch of posts to do! I want to print it out at the end of the year so I am going to have to play catch up. I had to put this video on though. It makes me smile every time I watch it. Cade was given the rest of my pop to drink because I really don't like Cola drinks. We never have pop in our house, and he was so excited. After he was finished he started singing this song. The song is so cute, but my favorite part is when I interrupt him to ask him a question and then he tries to resume singing and can't remember how he was singing it. Then he looks at me like he is bugged! It cracks me up. Enjoy.

going for it

Crew took the plung and trusted himself to ride his bike without training wheels! He has been beaming ever since. He is having so much fun being able to ride with his sister. We went for a bike ride as a family to the Red Barn in town here, and it was so much fun to see how well he did.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we had a lot of fun up at Scott's Mom's house. We all walked down to the cemetery and visited the grave sight of his Dad, and our niece Kate. Then headed back to the house for BBQ, playing with cousins, and a Volleyball championship. We had a lot of family there, and Mecca Mom and Dad (Donna and Steve) were even there visiting from Arizona. It was a beautiful day!

I love that it has a picture of Blue mountain on it!
The cousins hangout out at the cemetery! What a fun bunch.
Grandma, Afton and Scott Crew getting some some yummy food!

Cade eating too!
Afton getting her fill. As you can tell this day was
filled with lots of eating!
Cambri and Afton playing together. They are less that 24 hrs apart!
Wife against husband. I loved this picture! Way to return it Emily.

Scott with the long reach! The tournament was a lot of fun!

First Camping outing of the Year

Bureston Pond

It is only 15-20 min from our house. We went here in May to try out the new pop up, and it was a blast.

Scott and the kids cleaning out the Water Fall area! Made me a bit nervous with the kids, but I guess thats what Moms do.

Thr kids loved putting sticks in the water. Can you find Scott?

Avery took this picture of Crew and I love it.

Playing Cards and eating food. It is crazy that the kids are getting old enough to stay up and play games!! I am getting old.

Love the campfire, and so do the kids..Great times, great memories.

We brought the ball and bat, and played a bit. I got a good shot of Avery.

First time trying out the camper. It was so fun to use all the gadgets.

They loved climbing the trees!

I have such big helpers.

I wanted to remember this. I looked down and saw the shoes like this and just couldn't believe how little her shoes looked next to her Dads. They will be big in no time at all.

They were looking at the water, and I made them all stop because it was such a beautiful morning and it was such an amazing backdrop. I couldn't quite catch it, but it still reminds me of how pretty this world is.

We drag her everywhere, and she is such a trooper. She really has been such a great baby and so fun to have in our family.

We caught a frog, and it was a hit. The love to catch things, and will look for hours to do so.
