Drinks and Salad

Once again I was busy with yard work, and the kids were "in charge" of playing with Afton. The kids kept running out to the garden and getting items. Then I went to go inside the house and I was stopped by Crew. "There is a surprise for you inside mom you can't come in". Well, after all said and done, they had made me a garden salad..lettuce, zucchini, carrots, and peas. They also made a frozen drink. Frozen strawberries with push pops.. and yes, they used a BLENDER. Not so sure how I feel about that, but they all have their fingers..so. My surprise was given to me. We all enjoyed the delicious drink, and I had to take a picture of the mess that they made along the way. They are really soooo good to me. They were worried that I was getting too hot outside and that I was hungry. I am such a lucky mom. (ps, sorry about the random order of the photos)

Kids Ingenuity

I came inside from working in the garden and found the kids using electrical tape and paper to put tags on toys they did not want anymore. They decided they wanted to have a toy sale and that they would use the money they made to buy toys they really wanted. They then decided that they were going to make them for less "cents" , so that people would actually buy them and they wouldn't cost a lot of money.
Well, they made a sign, took out chairs/table, and an umbrella( because it was so hot), and sat in our driveway on our very quite, not busy street. Good thing there are some neighbors who have kids that like to play outside, because they actually came and bought some of their old toys. They made $3, and spent it all on junk food at the swimming pool that day.
I loved every minute of their way of thinking and watching it all unfold.
