Sweet Sisters

It has been so sweet to see how close these two girls of mine have become. Afton thinks that Avery is her second mom. She really will go to Avery for anything that I wont give her. She will cry for her when she leaves for school, and ask me where she is throughout the day. If you notice in the picture they are playing with the baby dolls. Just tonight Afton wanted to get into the bath, and I didn't want to get her in right then, so I told her she would have to wait. She went to Avery and so they both got into the tub, she washed her, got her out and into her diaper and jammies! I have to convince Afton to let me lay by her to get her to sleep instead of Avery. Avery loves every minute of it (for the most part). She loves to be the one to stop her from crying, or to please her in anyway. They are such a joy, and although I feel like I am fighing for my job sometimes, I love how much they care for eachother.

Hot Tubbing the kids way

So we LOVE the fact that we have a hot tub here, and I am quite sure that it will continue to be used throughout the winter. Well one night I was needing some free hands to finish some more unpacking and so Scott took the kids out hot tubing. After a while I heard some commotion and this is what I saw. They had moved the trampoline over to the hot tub, then put the play castle on top so they could slide into the hot tub. They even have the trap door to crawl through to get right to the slide. It is moments like these that I am glad they have a Dad who not only lets them do these things, but also helps think of the ideas. It brought such smile to their face!

FIrst Day of School

It was Avery and Crew's first day at their new school yesterday. There has been a lot of anxiety getting up to this point for the kids. (especially Avery) We went and toured the school, meet their teachers and got warmed up to the new school. Crew is going to be experiencing his first all day school, and I am going to be dealing with he fact that I only have two at home! I have not had that in a long time.. So needless to say they went with big smiles on their faces, no tears, and came home and said that it was Awesome. I couldn't have been more happy for them. Here is to a great year!

Happy 32nd Birthday

Scott had is birthday on Saturday so we went up to Pack Saddle lake and had a blast. He is such a fun husband and Dad. We were not even there for more than a minute when he had stripped to his trunks and swang of the rope swing into freezing water. He loves to be with family and friends, spend time doing anything and everything outdoors, and has a love of life. He makes my world a better place and keeps our family adventurous. I love him very much and the kids adore him. We are so lucky to have him in our lives!

Birthday Breakfast

We decided that instead of making Scott breakfast in bed, we would let him order what he wanted. We made a menu and the kids were the waiters and assistant cooks. It was so much fun. The kids want us to do this for them for their birthdays, so we just may be making it a family tradition.

Sisters

I am so lucky to have such great sisters. We were all able to get together and have some sister time this summer and it was a blast. We also managed to do this without our husbands around, which meant that we were juggling 14 little monsters alone. It was worth it though, and we had a few escapes together. We ran the Half Marathon/5k in Frisco, we went to waterworld, Dinner, late night movies, and lots of laughs. They are such a support to me on a daily basis and I love them all. Can't wait till we do it again!!
