Decorating

Avery and Crew wanted to do the decorating for Cade in him room. They did a great job, and Cade was so happy to see what they did for him. I love it when the kids work so hard on something for each other.

My Cade

I wanted to do a special post for my Cade who turned 3 years old yesterday. He is such a joy to have in our family. From the time he was born he was so adorable. When you look at him, you just melt; and unfortunately he knows it. He has been on the go from the start, always trying to keep up with Avery and Crew, and doing a pretty good job at it. He is the funny guy at our house, and is always trying to get everyone to laugh...even if that means resorting to the "potty talk" words! He will run and jump on any visitor who comes in our home, and if you are lucky you might just get a good hit to welcome you in. His blue eyes and sweet smile lure you in, but when he doesn't get what he wants..he knows how to turn on the poutty lips....If that does not work..then he will throw back his head and begin to give you a good cry. It is so cute, that it usually works(even on his big sister Avery). He is smart and athletic, and loves dinosaurs and superheros. He is truly one kind and I love him dearly! Happy Birthday Cade

St.George Getaway

 

 

 

 

Scott had given me a trip to St.George for Christmas this year, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I have been aching for the sun and a bit of adventure, but I didn't know how relaxing and fun it would be with a 4 month old coming too. We went with some of Scott's friends from high school and it was a BLAST. (Really was I surprised...I did marry Scott Anderson!) We went to Bryce Canyon and loved the amazing contrast of the orange sand/rock with the snow. It was beautiful to hike some of the trails and had great weather. We also played some tennis, and went repelling. The guys made us dinner at the condo one night, and gave us such a great break from the monotony of home life. Hot tubing, golfing, eating out, and all and all just being together made the trip great. And as far as me wondering how Afton would do...She was an ANGEL. She was either asleep in her car seat, or in the front pack, and was such a trooper. Thanks again Scott for the great 4 day trip!!

Moon Sand Mess

 

 

 

Santa brought moon sand into our house last year, and frankly I don't know why it is still around. It is so messy and it gets everywhere!!! The kids of course love it, but this is a shout out to all you moms...Don't buy it! I say stick with the outside sandbox. That way you don't have a sandbox in your kitchen. Or you could be like me, keep it around for them to continue to beg to play with it, get it out, despise the whole clean up process....and still don't throw it away.

WORMS

 

 

 

 

The snow has just melted, and the kids have waisted no time on starting their worm hunting this year. This is a favorite pass time at our house. They dig wherever there is dirt, find worms, and place them into their "worm hotel". It is so cute to watch them get so excited when one is found!
