First Camping outing of the Year

Bureston Pond

It is only 15-20 min from our house. We went here in May to try out the new pop up, and it was a blast.

Scott and the kids cleaning out the Water Fall area! Made me a bit nervous with the kids, but I guess thats what Moms do.

Thr kids loved putting sticks in the water. Can you find Scott?

Avery took this picture of Crew and I love it.

Playing Cards and eating food. It is crazy that the kids are getting old enough to stay up and play games!! I am getting old.

Love the campfire, and so do the kids..Great times, great memories.

We brought the ball and bat, and played a bit. I got a good shot of Avery.

First time trying out the camper. It was so fun to use all the gadgets.

They loved climbing the trees!

I have such big helpers.

I wanted to remember this. I looked down and saw the shoes like this and just couldn't believe how little her shoes looked next to her Dads. They will be big in no time at all.

They were looking at the water, and I made them all stop because it was such a beautiful morning and it was such an amazing backdrop. I couldn't quite catch it, but it still reminds me of how pretty this world is.

We drag her everywhere, and she is such a trooper. She really has been such a great baby and so fun to have in our family.

We caught a frog, and it was a hit. The love to catch things, and will look for hours to do so.

Sandbox

Having fun in the Sand. I love it when I can find my kids spending hours out in the sandbox together having fun. I don't like the mess of a sandbox, but times like these make it all worth it. Yes, even when I find handfuls of sand in their pockets when I am washing their shorts; yes, even after I have just moped the floor and someone runs in covered in sand to use the bathroom; yes, even when I find piles of sand outside the sandbox on the grass or other locations; and yes, even when I wash their hair twice to get it all out, then drain the water to find a ring of sand around the bathtub.

Dirty Feet

It's that time of year when your kids are ALWAYS without shoes. They come in with dirty feet...they are so bad I try not to look. Anyone else have the same problem?

Soccer

It is soccer time again and this season has been a lot of fun. Avery has really increased her skills and gets in and dominates. She loves it and is not at all timid. Crew seems to have gotten more timid as the season goes by. He is perfectly content kicking the ball when no one is around, but if you tell him to get in and go after it.... He will tell you that he IS! Because they are close in age, they can be on the same team, but because they play so differently (skill and personality) I chose to have them on different teams. It makes my life a bit crazy with schedules, but on this particular day they played against each other! It was a fun game.

Sarah's Wedding

We didn't get a lot of pictures, but is was a beautiful wedding. Sarah is Scott's sisters oldest daughter and the first gran -daughter to get married. Lots of family were there and we took over the hotel. It was a great celebration and we are so excited for them!

Easter Morning

We were in Idaho for our nieces wedding and staying in a hotel. We were not sure how the Easter bunny was going to come to our hotel and hide things, so luckly their was a park on the way to Church. They got out and found their baskets and were as happy as could be. Afton was asleep in the car, so we didn't wake her.

Leprachean Trap

For School Avery was told to make a Leprechaun trap to bring and see if they could catch one. She created the design all by herself, and her daddy helped make it sturdy. It was so fun to see her get so creative, and really think she could catch one.

Starting Solids

After Aftons 4 month appointment the Doc said we could start feeding her rice cereal. I had always waited until she was six months old, but I guess things have changed. She has LOVED it, and I kept hoping that it would help her sleep throughout the night, but so far no luck. She is still little only 11lbs.. but she is rolling all over already. As you can see Avery is right there to help me feed her...Crew and Cade are too...I am sure the novelty is going to wear off, but for now I will take all the help I can get.
